While author Dr Kath Engebretson lives in Melbourne she has spent prolonged time travelling in the Australian landscape with her husband and dog. In the Kimberley, she has found a country of the heart. She also loves reading and photography.
Kath is a teacher and academic, and the mother of four adult children and grandmother to seven boys and girls. Red Dirt Odyssey is her first fictional title, but in her field of religious studies she is the author and editor of several academic books, and many student textbooks. Her PhD focused on teacher education, and she taught in the Education Faculty at Australian Catholic University for seventeen years. In that capacity Kath mentored several doctoral students.
Kath’s second fiction novel, Nineteen Days, was released in August 2020 by Atlas Productions in 2020.
